Time flies. i prefer to study though :P I found that when you work, everyday's another same day. Maybe with different time tables, but , still , routine life. That's life !
After working at the daycare center for about a month, i realised that the key to "taming" them is to know them well. What i meant was what are their interest, what do they like and which cliques are they in. Yeah, can't believe right? Kids do have gangs and all, and they fought real physically and mentally torture those who aren't in their circle. Scary point is , I have to be in all cliques.....
It's quite intersting to learn how to manage the kids. Sometimes you have to be 'kids' , sometimes you just have to be stern. Gaining their trust is just as easy as losing them. When you lose their trust, some take you ages to gain them back , some just take you a few minutes.... it depends of how well you know that child.... i know , complicated...
I smell challenge every second when dealing with children. Discipline them, urghhh, tough one. I was constantly spotted with the cane in my hands. Can't help , the cane's my sole weapon now. I dont go around canning like clearing the bushes in movies , but pointing at them serves the purpose. After all ,they are not my kids , i do not have the rights like their parents to cane them.
I learnt child psychology from both of my parents. We motivate them by simply saying that their handwriting has improve or maybe they did the math correctly , bravo , you hit the correct button to accelerate them to do their homework! They will be smiling when doing their homework, plus they like you more.
I dont need to talk so much , just nudge or poke verbally at them the right place and thus , they'll go auto. Haha , glad that i can do it ! Hehe.
